New Year, Growth, New Products, and Reflection

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of Ruben's. Many of you have been with me every step of the way. I cannot thank you all enough for making this dream a reality. I have not forgotten the countless nights I would stay up casting bullets by hand in my parents garage after work in 2020, the feeling of buying my first casting machine in 2021, the heartache of outgrowing the ability to produce product and my machine breakages in 2022, but most importantly, I have not forgotten the feeling of seeing my customers shoot at matches. That makes everything worth it. So, what is new for 2023? Ruben's was given the opportunity to acquire a plethora of casting equipment from Jim Bodkin. If you have been around the USPSA community long enough, you know Jim. I'd like to personally thank Jim for all he has done. I'm not sure if the trajectory of Ruben's would be the same without him. I would also like to thank Jeremy Reid of Reid Pistolsmithing for putting me in contact with Jim. Jeremy is a cohost on The Hit Factor Podcast. You can check it out here. It is also available on all podcast platforms.

2023 brings new calibers and caliber weights. We are starting off the year with the introduction of 9mm - 135gr TC! We are determined to keep lead times short this year, so our new products will be released on a timetable in Q1 and Q2. Be on the lookout!

I'd like to end things on a personal note. My family experienced a number of health emergencies this past year, one of them being a mental health issue. In light of that and recent news in USPSA/IPSC, I'd like to announce that, till the end of January and again in May, Mental Health Awareness month, Ruben's will be donating a percentage of profits to the Family & Children's Services of Tulsa, but specifically for their 24/7 mobile crises program dedicated to serving adults and children in psychiatric crises, helping prevent suicide with less-restrictive levels of care, known as COPES, Community Outreach Psychiatric Emergency Services. Many cities do not have a specialized mobile intervention team for psychiatric crises that focus on the continuation of care AFTER the crises has been resolved. The battle is not over after crisis is averted. If you would like to know more about COPES or would like to donate separately, visit their website here.

Again, thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Ruben's Family. I could not have done it without you. Let's make 2023 the greatest year yet in the shooting sports.
